Margaux Resources is a mineral acquisition and exploration company focused on exploring the richly mineralized Kootenay Arc region of southeastern British Columbia. The company’s Sheep Creek Gold District has past-production of almost 800,000 oz gold from orogenic gold veins that are analogous to those in the Barkerville District of central British Columbia.
Our adjacent Kootenay Arc Zinc District hosts the past-producing Jersey-Emerald lead-zinc and tungsten mines, each major historic producers with NI 43-101 compliant resources. There is excellent upside exploration potential on both the Sheep Creek Gold District and the Kootenay Arc Zinc District. Margaux is also testing the potential for recycling and metal recovery from historic tailings in the region.
